Work and Pleasure part 1
I headed north to look for work.
RD was kind enough to put me up at his house and point me in the direction of pubs and breweries.
I had the chance to go to Hopworks with RD. It was busy for a Saturday, but the wait was fine, especially with the espresso stout in hand. A great roasty beer. Just the smell alone was good. I had drank half before I noticed. The flavor is great.
I handed RD a Terry Porter, named for Portland Trailblazer.
Then came the sampler of ten of there beer; all were tasty and smooth. Each sample correspond to the beer list, so each was easy to identify. Unfortunately I can describe the individuals ales. I was impressed with all, regardless of style.

I still remember when RD took a bunch of us over to Hopworks during the 2009 OFCC. That is still the best sampler and black bean burger I have ever had. I've been there two more times since.
I'm pretty happy that some of the stores around here have started carrying their brews, though I doubt their barley wine will ever make it this far.
