German Beer

Had the chance to drink the German Beer that Beau brought back from Germany. It was about 60% better than the beer I have had recently. Smooth, crisp, flavorful. 9.8.

The past Weekend

Everyone must watch "American Beer". A movie about young men who go to 38 microbreweries. It is great, although I wanted to do it myself a long time ago and may still do it now. It was a great warm up for the Harvest Fair, a local event, with Beer tasting. 24 types of beer, but only 9 breweries. The best ale "dick's dangerous ale" a dark ale with a suprising dark brown taste. The best porter "platpus porter" tastey dark.
Followed by homebrewing of a summer ale. I know it is a summer ale and it is Fall, but it turned out good and I messed with the recipe a litte. My next two beer will be a porter/stout clone and a barley wine (6-12 months for it to be done).
