Winterfest

The beers of winter and plus a favorite.

1- Seadog, Wild Blueberry-one of my favorite beers rediscovered. delicious, clean, crisp and light. I love the fruit flavor, even if it is blueberry.
2- Deschutes, Jubeale-a continuance of the good one year, bad the next. this is the off year. it seems all over the place. The only consideration is Deschutes keeps pushing it and not settling. i can't wait next for next year. this is a pass
3-SOB, Old Humbug- a tasty high alcohol winter beer. this beer will be greater in the long run. SOB being new and drawing alot form their Deschute's roots. I like the drinkability of this beer. Nice spice and smell.
4-New Belgium-2 Below- my old friend, you have returned. The same great seasonal has returned. the spice, the aroma and the drinkability. I am glad I found this years ago and the formula has not gotten goofy. This beer makes me glad fall has returned. I recommend it.
5-Alaskan-Winter -"Made with Spruce Tips!"-a beer I had from years ago, with an odd "bubble gum" flavor that made me want to seek it out year after year. This is a great seasonal, with it's unique flavor. I recommend it even if brudha doesn't care for it.

Dick's Brewing

As a favor for dog sitting, he stopped at Dick's Brewing, where he happened to be staying nearby and brought a 12 pack of there beers. I have had some of it before.
The beers I have had so far:

Dick's Mountain Amber Ale-I liked it, no anything fancy, reminds me of the Mactarnhans. It had pleasant hop aroma and was clean.

Dick's Golden Ale- I liked it. It was smooth and tasty. Not a word class beer, but easy to drink.

Dick's Cream Stout-forgettable. didn't taste like a stout. It is smooth like a cream stout, but nothing else.

Dick's Brown Ale-little taste, hard to recognize as any type of beer. It has no real odor, flavor. Needs a recipe tweak.
