Oregon's Beer Tax
Is flawed. While taxing is one of the politicians great excuses to prove to the world that they are useful, the propose oregon beer tax is a little out there. It is aimed at the big breweries such as the like of coors/bud/miller, but they don't brew in oregon, so they won't end up paying that much. Sure they might end up paying a little but come on have you seen them not throw money at say sponsoring a patch on a cricket player's ass.
Who does the tax hurt? Rogue, Deschutes, McMennamins -brewers that are the foundation of this states beer love.
Sure a moderate increase would be fine, but the increase is going from something from $.0001 a bottle to .10 a bottle. And what is the proposed tax going to? Drug/Alcohol Rehab. What the fuck? why would I want to spend good tax money on that...little alone bad tax money? Why the hell do I want to throw money down that hole.
