Blackberry Porter
Local favorite:
Wild River Brewing - Blackberry Porter. A rich and dark flavor. You can't taste the blackberry until the end. The blackberry comes across as smooth, not sugary or tart. Served at a slight chill above room temperature to allow the full body. I found myself getting another pint and getting a growler for later.
So good that, running out of beer last night (well not really, I didn't want to drink the camping beer Coors or the Abyss that I am saving) I drive to minmart look at the "beer selection" get disgusted and leave. I realize I have growler in the car and the pub is as close as the minmart. So good the wife likes it. Note to self keep a growler in the car! To bad they only make limited amounts of the good beers. (Schwarts- brewed once ever three years)
Also went to the local Harvest Fest. Winners? no, other than Ninkasi bottling their stout. Klamath Basin's Butt Crack Brown the closest thing to a dark and the best beer there. It's not just the name. Good flavor and hop.
Also John Barleycorn Barleywine style Ale was a surprise good taste too, from Mad Rive Brewing. I have had the other beers and not fan. This ale wasn't all alcohol, or raisiny (frackin hate raisin). It was smooth and tasty. Spicey and tingley.
